Early tools
Early humans made simple tools from stone in eastern Africa 2.6 million years before the dawn of time. These tools likely derived from natural stones or sticks. This technology is known by the "Mode 1" name. Oldowan tools were created by smashing a lava cobblestone using a hammerstone. Then, you scraped out the core rock fragments. Richard Carlile was able to sell banned books using a vending device in the 17th Century.
Early fax machine
The first fax machine came out of a primitive machine that didn't offer many of the modern features. It was developed by Alexander Bin who used elements of an electric clock in order to create a facsimile apparatus. The device was capable to scan line-by–line messages. Japanese companies were the first to enter the US market. In 1864, the US market had 30,000 to 300,000. Many people were concerned that fax technology might become obsolete due to the rise of the internet. But, Fortune 500 companies, the healthcare sector, and other organizations continue to use fax technology today.
Touch Screens in the Early Years
CERN engineers in 1970s developed the first touch screen. The first prototype used electrodes that changed resistance when a finger touched the panel. A machine then made a decision based on these changes. TFT screens were only commercially made available in the 1980s. The first touch-screen computer, the HP-150, had a nine-inch CRT screen with infrared detectors.

What does AI do?
An algorithm is an instruction set that tells a computer how solves a problem. A sequence of steps can be used to express an algorithm. Each step has a condition that determines when it should execute. A computer executes each instructions sequentially until all conditions can be met. For example, let's say you want to find the square root of 5. One way to do this is to write down all numbers between 1 and 10 and calculate the square root of each number, then average them. That's not really practical, though, so instead, you could write down the following formula:
sqrt(x) x^0.5
This will tell you to square the input then divide it twice and multiply it by 2.
The same principle is followed by a computer. It takes your input, multiplies it with 0.5, divides it again, subtracts 1 then outputs the result.
